High speed doors (rapid doors) open and close faster than standard roller shutters so busy openings lose less time and less conditioned air. For export to Europe, buyers usually ask whether the door is designed with EN 13241 in mind and whether safe-use features follow EN 12453 (presence detection, force limitation). Wind and air-permeability classes, where required, should appear on the quotation. Neither is universally better. A zipper (self-repairing) door re-inserts after many forklift hits and can cut downtime. A standard PVC door is often enough for lower-impact openings and can cost less. Choose from traffic pattern and impact risk, not from marketing labels alone.

As a minimum, expect a bottom safety edge (or equivalent force limitation), a photocell or light curtain across the opening, and a clear emergency opening method. Options often include radar, vehicle loop detectors, remotes and pull switches. Align the package with the risk assessment for your site.
Send room temperatures on both sides of the opening, clear opening size, cycles per day and power supply.
